Family Day
The BCMA administersĀ one-time mini-grants on behalf of the Province of British Columbia to support free community activities during BC Family Day.
BC Museums Week Microgrants
For BC Museums Week 2023, the BCMA wants to help tell the story of how museums change lives - and we need our membersā help. If you know a community member who is passionate about the impact of your museum and would like to share their story, we are offering ten $350 microgrants to help document the impact of museums.
2020 Repatriation Grants
The 2020 Repatriation Grants supported BC First Nations and Indigenous organizations in the repatriation of ancestors, cultural property, and intangible cultural heritage.
2020 Micro-grants for Emerging and Diverse Professionals
Due to COVID-19, the BCMA was unable to deliver its regular regional workshops around the province in 2020 and used this opportunity to reallocate funding to support museum professionals with diverse experiences and ideas to create new online resources and programming.
2020 BCMA Resilience Fund
In partnership with the BC Government, the BCMA offered small, one-time grants to organizations facing an immediate need due to the COVID-19 shutdowns in 2020.
Canada 150 Grant Program
The BCMA administered "British Columbia | Canada 150: Celebrating B.C. Communities and their Contributions to Canada"Ā on behalf of the Province of British Columbia, with the support of Heritage BC.Ā This one-time funding program invested $7.6 million in 221 projects in over 150 communities across British Columbia.
