It’s our great pleasure to announce that the BCMA’s 2024 Conference will take place in person from September 24 – 27, 2024!
In 2024, the BCMA conference will center sustainability in all its facets and respond to our community’s desire for more innovative, hands-on, immersive learning experiences, for dedicated time spent with colleagues to form relationships across the province, for actionable outcomes and takeaways, and for the focus on a bright future of our sector.

The gathering will have a variety of workshops, skill-sharing sessions, knowledge exchanges, many networking opportunities, a healthy dose of local arts and culture, and keynotes. Connect with attendees, sponsors, funders, and partners from across BC and beyond.

Digital Access

Virtual Access will be available for select sessions during the BCMA Gathering. More information coming soon.

BCMA Gathering Registration

Museums, galleries, and cultural heritage spaces play a crucial role in shaping public perception, contributing to resilient communities, fostering dialogue and sparking creativity. The BC Museums Association works to ensure the long-term viability and vibrancy of our sector, and we invite our members to join us in co-creating the future they want to see.

We recognize that many of our members pay for conference tickets, travel, and accommodations out of pocket and rely on the annual conference as an essential way of connecting with their colleagues. We also see that the costs associated with planning and attending conferences have been increasing in recent years.
