Introduction to the Indigenous Heritage Component of the Museums Assistance Program

June 16, 2021

Are you brainstorming a new Indigenous heritage project? Are you wondering what funding is available for your Indigenous heritage idea or project? The Indigenous Heritage component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) provides funding for projects related to the preservation, management and presentation of Indigenous cultural heritage. Join the Department of Canadian Heritage representatives on June 16 to learn more about the Indigenous Heritage component. Shannon Bettles, Senior Program Advisor, and Alicia White, Acting Program Manager, will give an overview of the program guidelines, explain what types of projects and organizations are eligible for funding, and answer your questions about the application process and project assessment. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions following the presentation. This webinar is the first of a series sharing funding resources for Indigenous Cultural Centres and communities.
