Join the BCMA and Campus Calgary as we learn about this innovative, award-winning program that provides authentic learning experiences to transform teaching and learning by increasing engagement through community, funder, and educational partnerships.

Campus Calgary / Open Minds provides Calgary teachers with the opportunity to move classes into a vibrant community site for an entire week of innovative learning. Teachers design and implement a long-term, interdisciplinary study that uses the week with a site as a catalyst for learning. Curriculum expectations can be met through meaningful connections to the real world, hands-on experiences, and connecting with community experts. This heavily subsidized program is funded by community and business partners, the Calgary Board of Education, and the Calgary Catholic School District.
