BC Museum Portraits: Port Moody Station Museum

The BC Museum Portraits Project is an audio interview and photography initiative that will result in an online archive of the ‘institutional memory’ of the Province’s museums and archives. We’re excited to preview this new collaboration between Spencer Stuart and the BC Museums Association on our website. In this episode, Spencer interviews Jim Millar from Port Moody Station Museum.

“Inside the waiting room of the Port Moody Station Museum you can find many old and beaten up suitcases. Each suitcase is filled with the contents of a person’s life. The suitcases were created by student’s from Burnaby North Secondary. Their task was to imagine what an immigrant would bring on their journey to Canada."
