Connect with museum, gallery and heritage professionals from across British Columbia. Gather around the digital watercooler to catch up, ask questions, seek advice, and chat. Each month we will have a new topic to discuss but feel free to come with questions, comments, or projects to discuss with the group.
Watercooler Wednesday takes place every first Wednesday of the month! This month, Watercooler Wednesday is cohosted by Koy and Leia.
Hired in December, Koy Tayler and Leia Patterson joined the team to support the development of new resources and projects identified by the BCMA’s Indigenous Advisory Committee and will work to support museums and cultural organizations in ongoing reconciliation, decolonization, and partnership building efforts. They are currently in the early stages of their projects and would love to chat with members about Indigenous partnership projects, initiatives, and policy changes that your institution has started or would like to start! Bring your challenges and your successes, bring your experiences and your goals! Respectful discussion is encouraged.

A Note on Watercooler Wednesday
This program runs on the Zoom webinar platform, which may be blocked by some firewall settings. Please contact your IT department if you are not sure if you can access Watercooler Wednesday.
We are aware of security concerns about Zoom meetings and the so called “Zoom Bombing” that has been in the media. Precautions to avoid these situations have been taken and procedures such as enabling the waiting room feature, muting all participants upon entry and disabling screen sharing have been implemented. The safety and privacy of our virtual programs are a priority for us and we are closely monitoring the situation and installing security updates that are regularly released by Zoom.
